Hey. I'm Jane. Nice to meet you!

I have an interdisciplinary background in social media, digital, and growth with a passion in digital innovation and UX design. After graduating with a B.A. in Communication Studies, I started my career in tech and worked in cross-functional teams where I took on roles in copywriting, content writing, and digital strategy.

In my undergraduate study, I took classes in art, psychology, and creative writing to explore the formats and nuances in communication. Through that I discovered my interest in storytelling; I was mesmerized by how well-told stories stimulate emotions and inspire people. Later in life I was fortunate to work at different companies with people from other backgrounds; I saw the power of synergy between people and how experiences shape our way of thinking. As I worked towards building brand resonance, I found my love for using illustrations as a medium to narrate my message. Since then, I’ve paid attention to the combined craft of imagery and content, as well as my personal emotions derived from tinkering with products. I’ve been amused by the designs that helped me become more productive, more informed about current affairs around the world, or more connected with my friends and families near and afar. For my next pursuit I look to create accessible and positive experiences that will make the world more equitable.

On a more personal or current level...
Born and raised in Hong Kong, I spent a few years studying in the U.S. from Louisiana to Palm Springs to San Francisco. In my spare time, I enjoy doodling and yoga. Since the pandemic, I've also developed a love for making coffee art, playing ukulele, and cooking (NYT Cooking has been my absolute favourite apart from @CafeMaddy and Just One Cookbook).
